Have you guys noticed how straight people can admit to having "crushes" on celebrities of the same sex and it's super normalized, and gay men can be obsessed with female celebrities and no one questions whether they're actually gay, but the minute a lesbian has a male celebrity "crush" or even just a man they really admire, suddenly everyone is scrambling to discredit her sexuality and say she isn't really a lesbian?
Like it's weird that lesbians are expected to be the only sexuality that is absolutely repulsed by the gender they aren't attracted to. And some certainly are, but not all of us. If a straight woman can have a girlcrush on Margot Robbie and a straight man can have an obsession with his favorite male football player and a gay man can have an Ariana Grande stan account and post pictures complimenting her looks daily, I don't see why lesbians are expected to be disgusted by the sight of all men and never admit to liking male celebrities. The reason that straight people have obsessions with celebs of the same sex but wouldn't actually date them is exactly the same reason that lesbians sometimes latch onto celebrity men - finding someone aesthetically pleasing to look at doesn't mean you want to date them, and doing this with a celebrity has no strings attached - there's no expectation that anything will actually happen.
I'm gonna try to get an elite trainer box again. They better have one this time. >:[
SUCCESS BTW
Now I'm gonna enter them into my spreadsheet

My spreadsheet is up to date and saved in multiple locations. My cards are in sleeves in numerical and then chronological order. My boxes are in chronological order. My life is ordered and happy. 😌
“denied the catharsis of punishment” is an underappreciated but hugely effective narrative consequence imo
#it’s so tasty and it comes in so many flavors#does the character self-loathe and feel anguished by what others intended as an act of forgiveness and grace?#does the character know they need to change but sort of madly wish they could trade the unceasing exhausting improvement journey#for a flash bang of slate-clearing repentance so they don’t have to *think* about it anymore?#is is a creeping horror as the character realizes no one is going to punish them because everyone else still thinks what they did was okay?#does the character have to live the rest of their life just feeling ever so slightly untrusted by everyone with no way to stop it?#sorry for leaving pretentious tags on tumblr dot com it will happen again
